Hey Rockstars-in-the-making! Ever wondered how to make your guitar playing more expressive and rhythmic? This lesson will teach you how to infuse your natural spoken rhythm into your power chords. Let's get groovy!

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, you should be able to:
1. Understand the concept of spoken rhythm in music.
2. Apply your natural spoken rhythm to power chords.
3. Create mini-songs using different power chords and rhythms.

Step 1: Speak Your Mind
Start by saying a short phrase out loud, like "You go up, and I will go down." Say it naturally, as if you're talking to a friend.

Step 2: Get Comfortable
Repeat the phrase multiple times until it flows smoothly. Feel the natural rhythm and emphasis in your words.

Step 3: Apply to Your Guitar
Pick up your guitar and choose one of the power chords we've learned—let's say E5, or even the E major chord!. Play the chord in the rhythm of your spoken phrase.

Step 4: Mix It Up
Once you're comfortable with one chord, try the same exercise with A5 and D5. Feel free to come up with new phrases or even mix two phrases together.

Step 5: Combine Chords
Take two power chords and play your spoken rhythm once on each. For example, play the rhythm of "You go up" on E5 and "I will go down" on A5.

Pro Tips:
This exercise helps with rhythm and makes your playing more expressive.
Don't rush. Take your time to feel the natural rhythm in your words and translate that to your playing.

Practice Routine:
1. Spend a few minutes speaking your chosen phrases.
2. Apply the rhythm to each power chord individually.
3. Combine chords, experiment with new phrases, and create some mini songs!
